Voting Question: Moving to Cali 2011; which school district do you recommend?

My family's moving to California next year, and I'm just wondering which school district would you recommend based on these: - Good visual arts & music program, - Somewhat (if not mostly) friendly school community, - Accessibility (can I walk to many places, i.e. a mall, or multiple stores?), - Teachers are interested in helping students learn, - Not much focus on athletics, - Walking distance from an affordable living community. I'm going to be going into sophomore year, and my brothers are in seventh and fourth grade (meaning elementary and middle school).
